Uninstalling the Curse Client

Curse Client v5 can be uninstalled in three easy steps.

There are 2 (TWO) parts for properly uninstalling the Curse Client v5.

How to Uninstall Curse Client v5

From the Windows Start menu, select the Control Panel option.

Windows 7 click the Uninstall a program under Programs.

Scroll down to the listing for Curse Client, and click the Uninstall/Change button in the toolbar.

Note: If you are unable to remove the client, due to an error message, please see this knowledge base article: Corrupted Installation.

Prompted to Install Client after Uninstalling

If you are prompted to install Curse Client when Windows starts (after uninstalling it), the uninstall process did not complete entirely. You can complete the process by deleting the 'CurseClientStartup' shortcut from the Startup folder in the Windows Start Menu.

 

For Windows Vista and Windows 7:

Press your Windows Key + R (to open the Run screen) or go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run

Type in:

%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

and click OK.

For Windows 8:

swipe up from the bottom of the screen when using Modern UI (If you're using a mouse, please right-click the mouse), then click All apps.

Then click Run.

Type in:

shell:Startup

and click OK.
