[Curse App] [Minecraft] Moving Old Worlds to Curse App

Many people who play Minecraft have old worlds they may have been playing for years, and don't want to leave them just to use the new Curse app.  Well don't worry you won't have to - you can bring them to Curse with you!

Make sure you have set up Minecraft with the Curse App, and have the Curse app install of Minecraft.

Jump to the guide for the type of World you have.

Doing this is at your own risk.  Customer Support may not be able to assist you with this process.  It is best practice to make sure you back up all your Worlds so you don't accidentally delete or corrupt them.

Vanilla Worlds

First, locate what version of Minecraft you were playing on.  Most play on the newest version, but some may be playing on an older version as the newer versions may have less resource packs and mods, or the ModPack may not be updated to newest version.  You can usually find this when you are on the Minecraft select screen in the lower left corner.

Go into the Curse app and Click on the Creeper head in the left side bar, then select the CREATE CUSTOM PROFILE in the upper right corner.

Select a name for your profile.  This can be anything, but remember not to end it with numbers.  Now select the version of Minecraft your Worlds are.  For this guide we were using the latest version.

Since you are playing Vanilla you can select none.

You should now have a profile in the Curse app.  Click on the PLAY option of the profile to have it create the files you need.

You should now have a saves folder in your Curse app's Minecraft folder.  By default it will be:

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Curse\Instances\PROFILENAME

If you went ahead and created a World while you had Minecraft open you will see if in the saves folder.

Next locate your saves folder within your .minecraft folder.  By default it is located here:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves

Open it and you will see your saved Worlds.  Copy and paste them over into the Curse app's saves folder.

All Worlds: CTRL + A  in the .minecraft\saves folder > CTRL + C.  Then CTRL + V in the Curse app's saves folder.

Specific Worlds: Hold down CTRL + click on which worlds you want to move in the .minecraft\saves folder.  Continuing to hold CTRL, drag and drop the World folders into the Curse app's saves folder.

Now your Worlds can be played through Curse.

But wait I open up Curse and my Worlds aren't showing!!!

This is correct.  Your Worlds are in the profile. Play the profile you created and you will now see your Worlds in the Select World page in Minecraft.
