If you are running into the error 102 this means your network is being denied.
There are numerous things that can cause this. The following are some of the more common things that can result in a network being denied.
If you have proxy software setup (if you're using a work computer, etc.). You may want to try from another computer without the proxy, or if you can try turning it off and testing it.
Your computer may have parental software installed. You may want to try from another computer without the proxy, or if you can try turning it off and testing it.
If you have an antivirus, malware program, or firewall it could be blocking Curse as a false positive.
Make sure that your copy of the Curse app is from https://www.curse.com/download or if you received a link directly from a verified Curse agent.
Once you have made sure you have a legitimate copy of Curse, try temporarily disabling your security software to see if it is causing the issue.
This issue can also be caused by malware, viruses, or other malicious software on your computer. We suggest doing a thorough scan of your system to check for any nasties.
Check Your LAN Settings
This is a simple process.
- Click Start > Run (or Windows Key + R)
- Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK.
- Click the Connections tab.
- Click the LAN settings button.
- If any items on this window are checked, uncheck them.
- Click OK to close any open windows and restart your computer
